Pancakes


                 Pancakes are a classic breakfast dish made from a simple batter that is cooked on a griddle or                  frying pan. Ingredients for making pancakes typically

include: All-purpose flour Baking powder Salt Sugar Eggs Milk Unsalted butter Optional ingredients:                    vanilla extract, cinnamon, fruit, nuts, etc. Instructions for making pancakes typically include the                  following 

steps:     In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. 
                In a separate bowl, 
                beat the eggs and add the milk, melted butter, and any optional ingredients. Pour the wet                            ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix the batter or                 the pancakes will be tough. Lumps in the batter are okay. Heat a non-stick griddle or frying pan                 over medium heat. Scoop 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until small                        bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look set, then flip the pancake and cook until                 the other side is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with                 syrup, butter, and any desired toppings. Enjoy!
